Roger Kosla’s practice includes domestic relations, conservatorships, adoptions and family law matters. His practice focus on all aspects of family law including child custody and support, grandparent visitation, divorce, separation, child abduction, juvenile dependency, conservatorships, adoptions as well as other family law matters. He is a result-driven advocate for the rights of his clients and offers creative solutions to meet his client’s objectives.
In family law matters, Mr. Kosla has litigated numerous UCCJEA child abduction cases, typically involving the abduction of one or more children by a parent outside of the greater Sacramento area. He has also handled community property disputes, spousal fiduciary duty disputes, and disputes regarding child custody, child support and child support arrearages.
Prior to joining Bowman & Associates, Mr. Kosla worked in downtown Sacramento firm primarily in the
area of civil litigation. His accomplishments include securing a six figure recovery in federal court against a Fortune 500 company.
Mr. Kosla graduated with distinction from McGeorge School of Law, obtained dual concentrations in
Taxation and in Business Law and is a member of the Traynor Honor Society. At McGeorge, he founded
various student organizations and received Dean’s Honors for multiple semesters. Mr. Kosla was a Witkin Award runner-up in Family Law. His undergraduate studies were completed in sunny La Jolla at the University of California, San Diego, where he obtained Provost’s honors.
